It is Foggest!

August has a reputation for lots of fog and this year is no exception.  We have been starting out with low morning fog that burns off in the afternoon.  It has been keeping our days cool, but pleasant.

Due to a cancellation, we have 1 room available this coming Wednesday, August 22 and then good availability the last week of August just prior to the Labor Day weekend.  We would love to have you join us.

"Foggest in Forks"

We took this picture this morning before breakfast from the front porch of the Miller Tree Inn.  It shows why we call this month "foggest" instead of August.  It is lovely and sunny and in the 70's now.  We think that is about perfect!  West End Thunder is holding Drag Races at the airport this weekend.  Come on over and check it out.

Pocket Edward at Hurricane Ridge

We took Pocket Edward up to Hurricane Ridge this week.  Our guests have been telling us that the wildflowers are spectacular this year.  The lupin were especially pretty, blooming and fragrant.  If you would like to come over to the Peninsula and see them, the Miller Tree Inn has rooms available on July 30 and August 1 and 2 this week.  More rooms available later in August.

Large Cedar Tree near Lake Quinault

This week we took Pocket Edward on a hike to see a very large cedar tree just off of the North Shore Road at Lake Quinault.  It is a beautiful walk through a lush forest to see this very large tree.  Spectacular on a sunny day with the suns rays making their way through the canopy of branches.  Not so good if the sun causes you to sparkle...This short hike is about an hour and a half away from the Miller Tree Inn.

Pocket Edward Relaxing in Spokane

Pocket Edward took a short trip to Eastern Washington.  There have been a few thunder storms here in Spokane, so we know that he and his friends must be playing baseball!  Here he is relaxing on the deck at sunset waiting to play ball.

Where Were These Guests From?

Here is a picture of the other flag that the Miller Tree Inn was flying over the weekend.  What country were these guests from?
