Mandolins, Thanksgiving and Other Coming Events

This past week we were honored to host Brian Oberlin and Evan Marshall.  These two gentlemen gave two wonderful mandolin concerts in Forks this week.  On Thursday night they gave a concert at the Forks branch of Peninsula College and last night they performed at the Miller Tree Inn.  Both performances were fantastic and we hope to have them back again.

Next up, we are preparing for Thanksgiving.  The Miller Tree Inn has availability all week, including Thanksgiving weekend.  So, if you need a day or two to relax before the Christmas holiday season begins in full swing, come on over!

Many events are scheduled through December.  On December 5, Cherish the Children will be up and running.  This is an annual dinner and silent auction with the proceeds going to help make a Merry Christmas for the children of LaPush and Forks.

December 6 is the date for Breakfast with Santa, the annual Twinkle Light Parade and Moonlight Madness.  The Festival of Trees are available for viewing on December 6 and bidding on the trees will be December 7.  Come over and take a look at the trees and let us know which one you think that we should buy for the inn.  Also take advantage of the great sales that the Forks merchants will be offering during Moonlight Madness.

For more information on all of these events and others, please check out the Forks Chamber of Commerce Events Calendar found at www.forkswa.com

The Miller Tree Inn has some specials going this week.  Check out the last minute specials page on our website.  Also, Saturday, December 1, the Forks Merchants put on their annual Moonlight Madness event.  Every store will be open from 7 - 11PM and have lots of sales going on.  The restaurants in town usually offer specials that evening and the events are kicked off by the small, but fun Twinkle Light Parade.  We will be starting to get out our Christmas decorations at the Miller Tree Inn, and have rooms still available, so come on over and join us!

If you are coming to the area on Friday night, November 30, be sure to check out the Cherish the Children event.  This event is sponsored by Forks and the Quielute Tribe to raise money for needy the Christmas needs of needy children in both Forks and LaPush.  There will be a wonderful seafood feast and silent auction.

First Time for the Flag From This Country

July 1, 2011

Besides being the first of July, we have another first to report. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to fly this particular flag. Do you know what country it represents? You will also see the Union Jack in the background in honor of our guests from the United Kingdom.

Forks is gearing up for our Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. The events start tomorrow with Kiddies Play Day and Moonlight Madness with the downtown merchants. Most everyone will have a special going between 7PM and 11PM tomorrow night.

Though our weather today started with a cloud cover. Currently the sun is out, so vampires will be sparkling! They will definitely need to wait until twilight to take advantage of this weekend's activities.

Leah Clearwater to be in LaPush Tonight

December 3, 2010

We just learned that the actress that plays Leah Clearwater is to be in LaPush for the Cherish the Children Fundraiser tonight. She will be signing autographs and pictures to raise money for this benefit. The Cherish the Children event is annual event that features a seafood dinner, silent auction and live auction. It is a cooperative fundraiser between LaPush and Forks to raise money to meet the needs of children during the holiday season. This would be a great event to help kick off the Eclipse release party scheduled by Dazzled by Twilight later in the evening.

Tomorrow evening, December 4, the fun continues with The Festival of Trees viewing at the Bank of America Building, the Twinkle Light Parade and Moonlight Madness where all the stores and merchants will have special sales from 7 - 10PM. Come join us! We still have rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights. To make reservations on line, click on Miller Tree Inn .
