Rainfest and Happy Easter!

It is a beautiful day in Forks today! What a way to kick off the Rainfest celebration. The coast clean up started this morning and we have guests participating in that. Thank you! The Forks High School Drama club is presenting a preview of their spring production, today. Main performances will be next weekend. The Olympic Peninsula Guide Association is sponsoring free river float trips and root beer floats today. And there will film showings at the Rainforest Art Center this evening. Next weekends activities will include a quilt show, the High School Musical production of the Adam's Family and a book sale at the library. We have rooms available both Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th, so come on over to the Miller Tree Inn and enjoy the fun.
Wishing you all a blessed Easter from all of us at the Miller Tree Inn.

Happy Easter 2016!

We have had a great and busy week at the Miller Tree Inn.  Lots of folks from around the world and the United States taking advantage of spring break travel.  It has been wonderful meeting so many friendly and happy travelers.

We are all set for Easter tomorrow.  The tables are decorated for Easter and spring and devilled Easter chicks will be the plate garnish for tomorrow's breakfast.

We are still collecting money this month for the Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction.  Any donations can be sent to the Miller Tree Inn, P. O. Box 1565, Forks, WA 98331.  We would like to have those donations in by Thursday, March 31, so that we can make a deposit at the bank.  The Auction raised more than $70,000 for scholarships last weekend.  Anything else we can add to the total will make it that much better.  Please make checks out to:  Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction.

On Friday, April 1, we will have our first quarterly drawing.  Can't wait to see who the lucky winner is!

Happy Easter!

Tomorrow is Easter and the hard boiled egg Easter bunnies are  in the refrigerator getting ready to make an appearance on everyone's breakfast plate in the morning.  They will be served along side Orange Croissant French Toast and glazed beef sausage.

Other happenings in April:  The new Rainforest Arts Center is set for a grand opening the weekend of April 18.  Live performances and movies are on the agenda for that weekend, which also happens to be Rainfest.  Look for the "Fabric of the Forest" quilt show, as well as quilting classes.  More information about these events can be found on the Forks Chamber of Commerce website at:  www.forkswa.com

Innkeeper Bill, is looking forward to April 25 when the Forks Elks Lodge is hosting all the Forks classes of the 1970's for the 2nd Annual 70's Reunion.  The cost is $20 per person and includes food all day long.  If you are a graduate of Forks High School in the 1970's, this is the event for you.

Happy Easter!

We would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter!

For Easter morning breakfast at the Miller Tree Inn, we had Orange Croissant French Toast served with orange syrup and bacon.  If you scroll down through the labels on this blog, until you find "recipes", then click on that, you will be able to find the recipe for the French toast.  Each plate was garnished this morning with an Easter bunny made out of hard boiled eggs, carrots, cauliflower, and mustard seeds.  It was a fun morning.
