The Miller Tree Inn innkeepers took Pocket Edward to the annual Washington State Bed and Breakfast Guild Conference this week. This year the conference was at the Kitsap County Convention Center in Bremerton. We are not sure if Pocket Edward learned anything new, but the innkeepers certainly did!
We were treated to interesting and inspirational talks by many Bed and Breakfast and tourism professionals and it was a great way to network with innkeepers from all over the state as well as one innkeeper from Missouri! We were also able to keep up with what is new in website marketing and products to use in our bed and breakfast to make our guests happier and more comfortable.
We returned to some beautiful Forks weather! It is a treat to see the sunshine and blue sky in November and we will not take it for granted.
Pocket Edward and all of us at the Miller Tree Inn (aka, the Cullen House) are anxiously awaiting the premier of Breaking Dawn II! We hope to see many of you next week and talk to you about your opinions of the last "Twilight" movie!

Where Were They From?

Tuesday, March 20, 2012
Over the weekend we had guests from the country represented by this flag. Do you know where they were from?
Scholarship Auction update: The Scholarship Auction held this past weekend raised $59,000 for scholarships for the graduates of Forks High School. The community of Forks, the Scholarship Auction Committee, the students, those who donated items to the auction and those that were bidding are AWESOME! Thanks so much.

Meet Our Newest Employee!

Wednesday, January 18, 2012
Our guests, Greg and Hope, built our newest employee for us in the 12+ inches of snow that we have in Forks. Our new snowwoman is waving at any who come by the Miller Tree Inn. Hopefully all of us on the inside of the inn are just as friendly.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

Saturday, May 28, 2011
We hope that everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend. Here in Forks, at the Miller Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast, we have been enjoying some sun and clouds and very little rain! Hurray!
At "twilight" last evening, it was sunny and drizzling and we saw the most amazing rainbow from our side yard. It was quite beautiful, so we thought we would share it with you. We think that the Cullen family would have approved.
On another note, we have almost complete the work on Carlisle's Office. We need to refinish a desk and get a few more pictures on the wall, then we hope to get a picture posted on the blog.

Has Spring Finally Arrived in Forks?

Monday, May 16, 2011
Don't look now, but we think spring has maybe arrived in Forks or is about to, anyway! The tulips, pansies and cherry trees are blooming and there are 2 days of sun in the forecast later on this week.
We still have a few rooms at the Miller Tree Inn Bed & Breakfast during Memorial Day weekend. Come over and join us, maybe the sun will make an appearance!

What Country?

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Last night we had guests from 2 different countries. Both parties were visiting Forks because of their interest in the Twilight saga series of books and movies. One couple was from the country where the film "The Sound of Music" took place. Can anyone name that country?
The other family was from the country represented by the flag in this picture. Where were they from?

It is February in the "Twilight" Zone!

February 1, 2011
Tomorrow, Punxatawney Phil the ground hog will help us decide if there will be 6 more weeks of winter or if spring is just around the corner. We aren't sure what will happen on the east coast with the official ground hog, but in Forks, there are signs of spring everywhere. We have primroses and crocus coming up in the yard and a bouquet of pussy willows on Edward's practice piano. There are still rooms available for the weekends just before and just after Valentine's Day. We would love to have you join us at the Cullen House!

It Has Been Raining in Forks!

January 17, 2011
It has really been raining in Forks! Hard to believe?!?! Though the rain makes for good vampire spotting weather, the Cullen House cat has been pouting and not wanting to go outside. At least it is supposed to let up a little in the next few days.

Leah Clearwater to be in LaPush Tonight
December 3, 2010
We just learned that the actress that plays Leah Clearwater is to be in LaPush for the Cherish the Children Fundraiser tonight. She will be signing autographs and pictures to raise money for this benefit. The Cherish the Children event is annual event that features a seafood dinner, silent auction and live auction. It is a cooperative fundraiser between LaPush and Forks to raise money to meet the needs of children during the holiday season. This would be a great event to help kick off the Eclipse release party scheduled by Dazzled by Twilight later in the evening.
Tomorrow evening, December 4, the fun continues with The Festival of Trees viewing at the Bank of America Building, the Twinkle Light Parade and Moonlight Madness where all the stores and merchants will have special sales from 7 - 10PM. Come join us! We still have rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights. To make reservations on line, click on Miller Tree Inn .

New Moon DVD Release Weekend in Review
Monday, March 22, 2010
All New Moon DVD release events were fun and well attended. Be sure to get the companion DVD of Twilight in Forks-saga of the real town. One of your innkeepers is interviewed!
The QVSD scholarship auction was well attended and successful. One of your innkeepers is on the committee and has said that about $69,000 was raised for our Forks High School graduates to be given in scholarships. We salute the town of Forks and everyone that purchased or donated items to this worthy cause.

Edward is Prom Ready

June 27, 2009
It is Twilight Symposium week in Forks. The town has been buzzing with participants and many fun events have been planned. Last night's Native American storytelling and bonfire down in LaPush, was a great success. Tonight, is the prom, featuring Twilight related music from 3 different bands. Edward has put on a sport coat, tie and pinned a rosebud to his lapel to be ready. The Innkeepers at the Miller Tree Inn have volunteered to take their guests' pictures with Edward before the Prom.

Where are you going, Edward?
January 26, 2009
At least THREE life size cardboard Edwards were seen leaving the Miller Tree Inn over the weekend. They were all purchased at the new store in town, "Dazzled by Twilight." All of our guests on Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24 were in Forks because of "Twilight." We are pretty sure that everyone that stayed was part of "Team Edward."
On Saturday morning we came down to find Edward missing! He had spent the night watching over some guests in one of the rooms. Ahhh, Edward. Always the protector!

Edward Gives a Valentine Wreath to the Visitor's Center
Edward stopped in at the Visitor's Center in Forks to give the manager a heart shaped wreath to attach to Bella's truck. He thought it would be a great Valentine for Bella.
