The Christmas decorations are now put away and the Valentine's Decorations are up. Even though Valentine's Day is a month away, with Edward and Bella around, love is ALWAYS in the air at the Cullen House.

Today is a lovely and sunny fall day between the heavy rains of earlier this week and those that we hear are to come in the next few days. The forecast says that those out for Halloween, may get wet, so be prepared with rain coats.

As you can see from the picture, Edward was in charge of carving our Halloween pumpkin this year.

We all woke up to a very "Vampire" Day. Rain and wind have been sweeping through Forks, but it has not dampened the spirits of the Twilight faithful. Here at the Miller Tree Inn, we have been casting an informal vote on who favors Team Edward or Team Jacob. According to our polls, Edward is ahead. More of his cherry chip cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and red sprinkles have been eaten than Jacob's dark chocolate cupcakes with coconut pecan frosting. Pocket Edward is pointing to his favorite in the picture!

As for this year's birthday card, the inside of the card has been completely filled up with signatures. Today we are working on the outside of the card.

Edward Visits Seattle

The Miller Tree Inn innkeepers took pocket Edward on a trip to Seattle. They all went to see the latest installment in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse on the IMAX at the Seattle Center. It was a fun trip and it was great seeing all of our favorite characters 6 stories high!

We took Edward to this famous Seattle landmark as seen in the picture.

Today is Edward's 17th birthday, AGAIN! We have left a birthday sign on our front porch for people to leave Edward a message on. It is a vampire perfect day in Forks. The skies are overcast and just a little drizzle.

Happy April Fool's Day, everyone! The weather has been playing a bit of an April Fool's joke on us today. Sunny one minute and rainy, cold and breezy the next. A typical Forks day!

Yesterday, Edward went to the Serta factory in Puyallup with us to help us pick up a new mattress for our soon to be finished, Ella's Suite. Edward, did not need our help lifting the mattress to the top of the van.

Because Bella LOVES the mushroom ravioli at Bella Italia, Edward obtained the recipe and is leading the family on a mushroom hunting expedition. He wants to surprise Bella by cooking her favorite dish. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone!

In honor of election season AND the premier of "New Moon", the guests of the Miller Tree Inn (aka Cullen House) get to vote for which team they belong to by eating cake! If you are a "Team Edward" fan, you get a white cupcake with creamy vanilla frosting. If you are a "Team Jacob" person, then you would take a dark chocolate cupcake with coconut frosting. If you just can't quite make up your mind, then "Team Switzerland" is for you. We have a layer cake with one layer of white cake and one of dark chocolate cake. It is frosted with both the creamy vanilla and the coconut frosting.

It appears that our team of innsitters and housekeepers kept guests happy while Bill and Susan were in Glacier Park scouting for the Cullen family. Bill and Susan found much wildlife while there. Bears, goats and big horned sheep were all spotted from trails. Emmett will be particularly happy that a few grizzly bears were out. No mountain lions were seen, so Edward will be disappointed. Here is a picture of one of the many goats in the park.

Edward is wearing the latest graduation cap that we have received. Our decorator/artist thinks she has enough caps to make the "Graduation Artwork." Thanks to all who sent or brought their graduation caps to the Miller Tree Inn. The work should be finished in the next couple of weeks. If all goes well, we will have it ready for Stephenie Meyer Day in September.

Twilight Symposium

The Twilight Symposium ended yesterday. Our guests that attended seemed to have a good time and are hoping to come back next year if there is another one.

After the symposium, the Hillywood actors came over to the Miller Tree Inn (also known as the Cullen House) and did interviews for a documentary. They also used the Inn and grounds for some photo opportunities. While the actors were at the Inn, the Dazzled by Twilight Tour came by. Imagine how thrilled the tour participants were to see the Hillywood actors dressed up as Edward, Bella, Jasper and Alice! Everyone was very excited and we all had a great time. As you can imagine, many pictures were taken!

Edward is Prom Ready

It is Twilight Symposium week in Forks. The town has been buzzing with participants and many fun events have been planned. Last night's Native American storytelling and bonfire down in LaPush, was a great success. Tonight, is the prom, featuring Twilight related music from 3 different bands. Edward has put on a sport coat, tie and pinned a rosebud to his lapel to be ready. The Innkeepers at the Miller Tree Inn have volunteered to take their guests' pictures with Edward before the Prom.

Here is a picture of Edward by his practice piano with the birthday card that many fans signed for him on his birthday on Saturday. Edward is also wearing his gold "honor cords" which he received when he graduated, again. Of course Edward would be an honor student!

Edward is having a 17th birthday, again! Saturday, June 20, at Tillicum Park, Dazzled by Twilight is organizing a picnic, softball game and music. At the Cullen House (aka Miller Tree Inn), we are planning on having a birthday card out on the front porch for anyone to sign wishing Edward a Happy 17, again, birthday.

Will Edward be Graduating this Year?

We don't know if Edward will graduate from Forks High School this year, but it is now graduation season and we are still looking for graduation caps. Please keep your tassel and mail your cap to: Miller Tree Inn, P. O. Box 1565, Forks, WA 98331. We received 3 caps this week, 1 came in the mail and two were hand delivered by our guests. We will be giving all the caps we collected to our interior designer, soon.

Also, don't forget about Edward's 17th birthday party to be held on June 20 at Tillicum Park in Forks. We still have rooms available that weekend.
