May is a beautiful time on the Olympic Peninsula. Our state flower, the rhododendron is in bloom, everywhere. You can even see the light pink wild ones blooming along side the highways. It is a gorgeous time to travel.
Everything was super busy over the Memorial Day weekend, but things have calmed down a bit, now, and you shouldn't have to fight the crowds at the beaches or rainforest. The sun came out this afternoon and guests have been enjoying the front porch swing, with a grand very of the blooming flowers. We should have a couple more weeks of relative quiet before the summer gets into full swing. Come on out, enjoy the flowers and sit a spell.
