What Country?

Last night we had guests from 2 different countries. Both parties were visiting Forks because of their interest in the Twilight saga series of books and movies. One couple was from the country where the film "The Sound of Music" took place. Can anyone name that country?

The other family was from the country represented by the flag in this picture. Where were they from?

    Austria is correct for the name of the country where the Sound of Music took place.

    Though the flag has elements of the flag of Great Britain, that is not the country represented by the flag in the picture.
