Monday, January 25, 2010

We decided to beat the gray winter blahs at the Cullen House by buying some red tulips. The Cullens think it brightens up the place!

Sunny in Forks

Saturday, January 16, 2010

The weather forecasts were wrong. It is sunny in Forks today. Not so good for vampire sitings, but nice for us mere mortals who hate getting soggy!

Also, we were visited by a new tour company today. "Team Forks" has started doing tours on the weekends. They don't take reservations, you just show up at the Forks Outfitters parking lot. They plan on doing 3 tours a day on the weekends.

The Dazzled by Twilight Tours are still going strong and strongly recommend reservations to make sure that you get on the tour you want. Don't forget to stop in their store for a real Twilight experience.

AND there is a new photographer in town that is specializing in destination photography. You can have engagement, wedding, family reunion, pregnancy, girls weekend, Twilight birthday, etc, shots taken at the beach, rain forest, etc. Check out her website at:

Now, come on over and enjoy the sunshine in January! We still have rooms available this weekend.

Wet and Wild January at the Cullen House

January 15, 2010

We have been having rain and wind in Forks. More than 5 inches of rain was reported for this past Monday and there were some high winds last night. Should make for some great storm watching at the beach this weekend with really high waves.

In the meantime, the Cullen family has gone winter camping in the Olympic Mountains. They were hoping to do some snowshoe hiking.

The Cullen House Innkeepers Holiday Travel

January 6, 2010

Happy 2010! The 12 days of Christmas are officially over and the Christmas decorations are coming down at the Cullen House. Valentine decorations are taking their place.

The Miller Tree Inn, innkeepers, Bill and Susan took a little holiday trip to see family. On their way to Idaho, they stopped at the View Point Inn. The View Point Inn is the site where the prom scenes were filmed for the Twilight movie. It is a beautiful spot with great views of the Columbia River.

On the way back from Idaho, Bill and Susan stopped for breakfast at The Carver Cafe, which is the place where Bella and her Dad eat in the Twilight movie and where Stephenie Meyer makes her cameo appearance. It was a fun experience and we recommend it to Twilight fans.
