Going to the Hoh Rain Forest

February 16, 2009

We hope that everyone is enjoying the Presidents' Day holiday. We have had lots of visitors at the Cullen House/Miller Tree Inn. Many faithful Twilight fans stayed with us. Many more came by to take pictures.

Last week on our road trip, we went up to the Hoh Rain Forest. This is a highlight for many of our visitors. It is very green and mossy and mysterious. We (including Edward and the rest of the Cullen family), like to stop at the PEAK 6 outdoor store on the way to the rain forest. They have great hiking/camping equipment and clothing and can line you up with a guided kayak or raft trip. Gary Peterson and his wife, Charlotte, own and operate this store. Gary Peterson is the great grandson of the original owners and homesteaders of the Miller Tree Inn.

  1. I'm itching to get up that way to the Hoh Rain Forest. The redwoods have held me back a bit longer. If this Cullen House is yours, I may swing my and take a peek. Usually pull a trailer, but not always. May take a gander anyway. Like the site - very warm.
