Carlisle's Home Country

October 12, 2011

Happy Columbus Day! Well, Carlisle wasn't around to see Columbus off on his adventure to the new world, but he was raised in a different land. This flag represents the country where Carlisle came from.

Also this week we had guests from Slovakia and Israel. With guests from out of country and returning fishermen, we have been having lots of fun here at the Cullen House, aka, Miller Tree Inn.

Where are the Cullens?

September 26, 2011

You would think with all of the wet, cloudy and windy weather, that the Cullens would be in residence at home, (aka, Miller Tree Inn). But that does not seem to be the case. Esme's note lets us all know that they are hiking in the mountains!

Stephenie Meyer Day 2011

Saturday, September 10, 2011

Things are in full swing for this year's Stephenie Meyer Day celebration. Many of our guests attended Bella's Bridal Shower last night and had a marvelous time as well as picking up their red capes for the St. Marcus Day Ball tonight.

Our guests, at the Miller Tree Inn (aka Cullen House) started out their day with "Bella's Baked Apple French Toast". We now have out Bella's Birthday Cupcakes, Vampire Style (red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and red sprinkles).

Vendors and the literary symposium are setting up on Spartan Avenue and we have our annual Bella's birthday card out on the front porch ready for visitors to sign. It is a beautiful day for a celebration!

Today we also learned that the Miller Tree Inn will be the site for picture taking opportunities with some Twilight character look alikes.

We are busily preparing for an influx of Twilight fans this weekend. Preparations are well in hand for the 2011 Stephenie Meyer Day celebration beginning Friday, September 9.

Pocket Edward at Skookumchuck Rapids

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

This picture was taken last week of Pocket Edward visiting Skookumchuck Rapids on the British Columbia mainland. This phenomena is caused by the tide ebbing and flowing through a very narrow passage. Besides the rapids, it creates whirlpool action. Quite impressive.
