Another Picture of Carlisle's Office

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Here is another picture taken in Carlisle's office. Bill did a lot of research to find out about the artwork described in the book. A graphic artist put this picture together for us and it is printed on canvas, so looks like a real painting. We think the quality is great and it has been a fun addition!

Pocket Edward is leaving for a little vacation today. Hopefully we will have pictures to post in the days to come.

Carliscle's Office

Monday, July 18, 2011

Here is our first picture of Carlisle's Office. As you can see, it has a HUGE mahogany desk, just as described in the book. What you might not be able to see is the name plate, which says, "Dr. Carlisle Cullen." Dr. Cullen's lab coat and stethoscope are hanging on the coat rack.

Cullen House Mug Lids in Process

Friday, July 15, 2011

Yesterday we received lids from Deneen Pottery for our most popular "Cullen House" mugs. We carry the mugs in red, black and black with a red glaze on top. Our guests love them and so do we. This picture shows the lids being made. The mugs and lids are unique in that each one is hand thrown.

We also have Miller Tree Inn mugs in Blue and Grey and Christmas ornaments all from Deneen Pottery.

Forks Fourth of July Re-Cap & Which Country Is This?

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

We had a beautiful day for our Forks Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. The parade, was fun, sunny and warm, the Lion's Club Salmon BBQ was great and the Demolition Derby and Fireworks were a success.

The Fire Dog on the back of the antique fire truck is one of the Miller Tree Inn's housekeepers. She was pretty warm inside the costume. Another one of our housekeepers drove a car in the powder puff division of the demolition derby. She didn't win, but made a good showing for her first time as a driver.

We had some out of the country guests take part in the activities of the day and put this flag out for the first time. What country were our guests from?

First Time for the Flag From This Country

July 1, 2011

Besides being the first of July, we have another first to report. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to fly this particular flag. Do you know what country it represents? You will also see the Union Jack in the background in honor of our guests from the United Kingdom.

Forks is gearing up for our Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. The events start tomorrow with Kiddies Play Day and Moonlight Madness with the downtown merchants. Most everyone will have a special going between 7PM and 11PM tomorrow night.

Though our weather today started with a cloud cover. Currently the sun is out, so vampires will be sparkling! They will definitely need to wait until twilight to take advantage of this weekend's activities.
